Taking into consideration the ever-widening role of Udyog Mitra and
increased complexity of tasks it has to undertake, the State
Government constituted the Udyog Mitra Committee in March, 1984 under
the Chairmanship of Development Commissioner
(Industries) with Chief Executives of the industrial development
organisations as its members. This Committee meets twice in a
month to examine the problems of individual units and also general
issues relating to industries and tries to find out solutions
for
them.
The Committee also makes regular monthly visits to the divisional
district headquarters and enters into a dialogue with the local
Industries Associations. Individual entrepreneurs are also invited to
present their problems to the Committee and as far as possible solutions are provided on the spot. The results of such close
interaction have been found rewarding and fruitful.
What Udyog
Mitra can do for you ?
* It offers general guidance to entrepreneurs seeking to set up
industries, in respect of various rules and regulations, policy
matters, approvals and clearances which have to be necessarily complied
with at several stages during the progress of a project.
* It provides assistance for submission of formal requests to
different organisations and in following up such requests for
appropriate sanctions.
* Udyog Mitra consists of officers drawn from each of the following
organisations, whose main function is to liaise, on behalf of the entrepreneurs with the respective organisations to improve co -
ordination among them, so as to speed up the process of
decision - making in respect of grant of various facilities covered
under their jurisdiction.
